Ive spent some time today trying to convince a friend that Bruce Springsteen is probably the greatest live performer on the planet and that an immensely overrated band like U2 has nothing on him. His argument against me had something to do with U2 using lots of lasers and giant lemons in their shows and with the fact that they make live calls to the President. Well, Im sorry, but I think that what makes live music great is, well, the music. And nobody does it like Springsteen. Id like to see U2 get together in a farmhouse and do something like this live:
Oh yeah, and Bono can stick this little piece of New Jersey up his skinny Irish ass:
I need no other argument. I need no other plea.
We are all trav'ling in the footsteps
Of those that've gone before
We'll all be reunited
On that new and sunlit shore
When the saints marching in
When the saints go marching in
Lord, how I want be in that number
When the saints go marching in
And when the sun refuses to shine
When the sun refuses to shine
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in
Oh when the saints go marching in
Oh when the saints go marching in
Lord, how I want to be in that number
Oh when the saints go marching in
And when the trumpet sounds its call
When the trumpet sounds its call
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the trumpet sounds its call
When the saints marching in
When the saints go marching in
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in
And some say that this world of trouble
Is the only one we'll ever see
But I'm waiting for that morning
When the new world is revealed
Oh when the moon turns red with blood
Oh when the moon turns red with blood
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the moon turns red with blood
When the saints (oh when the saints) go marching in (go marching in)
When the saints go marching in (go marching in)
Lord, how I want (Lord, how I want) to be in that number (be in that number)
When the saints go marching in
Oh when the saints (oh when the saints) go marching in (go marching in)
When the saints go marching in
Lord, how I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in
Lord, how I want (Lord, how I want) be in that number (to be in that number)
When the saints (when the saints) go marching in (go marching in)

When He Calls
When darkness fills the valley
Fear and dread strive deep within us
But our burdens soon will be lifted
When these old homes turn to dust
When He calls
I'm going to live with Jesus
In His kingdom He welcomes everyone
I shall not fear no more earthly peril
For He will carry me Home
Now Satan will come to tempt me
But I'll try to resist sinful ways
And I pray that I'll find salvation
In that peaceful Home far away
When He calls
I'm going to live with Jesus
In His kingdom He welcomes everyone
I shall not fear no more earthly perils
For He will carry Home
When He calls
I'm going to live with Jesus
In His kingdom He welcomes everyone
I shall not fear no more earthly peril
He will carry me Home
This week, in the times when I havent been studying Greek, I have been watching through all 17 episodes of the short-lived television masterpiece "Undeclared" (from Judd Apatow of Freaks and Geeks fame). I watched the entire season in about three days and I loved every minute of it.
Heres a partiucarly funny scene involving college guys attempting to initiate a "spontaneous" truth or dare game with hot females:
